HOLLY HITCHCOCK AWARD

Holly Hitchcock Award for Contributions to Continuing Legal Education by a CLEreg Member

Holly Hitchcock served as the Executive Director for the Rhode Island Supreme Court Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Commission for 29 years until her retirement in 2016. She was an active member of CLEreg. She never hesitated to volunteer her vast knowledge of the legal profession, and present at the national meetings. Even after her retirement, Holly made herself available to attend and speak at CLEreg conferences and continued to offer advice and guidance on many issues of the organization.

Holly's passion for her work and her colleagues, were only matched by her artistry. She was an artist in every sense of the word. She saw beauty in everything, and everyone she met. Holly was a talented photographer, painter, gardener, and had an extensive knowledge in the culinary arts, including a love of wine. She loved her family, her friends, and her work.

In 2023, CLEreg established the Holly Hitchcock Award for Contributions to Continuing Legal Education by a CLEreg Member. This award allows our organization to recognize individuals, or jurisdictions, that have shown extraordinary leadership and passion for the organization and our profession.
